About This Course
9/11 Day, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, and AmeriCorps funds World Cares Center to support disaster response and safety training in honor of the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance. As we approach the anniversary of 9/11 and the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance, we challenge you to transform the words “Never Forget” into action. Join a powerful movement designed to prepare and enable everyone to become Ready Responders. Ready Responders arrive to the scene first, and they know what to do because they’ve been trained. They know the feeling of empowerment that comes from being prepared for a crisis and the feeling of purpose that comes from helping those around them when disaster strikes.
Since 2001, the frequency and severity of disasters have increased, presenting daunting safety challenges. We need Ready Responders now more than ever. Join World Cares Center in this movement as we partner with AmeriCorps, the federal agency for national service and volunteerism, to ensure “Never Forget” is more than a phrase.
